The latter is 1+(n×1), where n=conversion rate, because the back clamp battery charges the internal battery of the mobile phone through the data cable. In this process, there is energy conversion, and part of the energy is consumed in the conversion process. In other words, if your back clip battery is 5000 mAh, the actual power provided to the phone may be less than 3000 mAh!
