How to Test Cell Phone Battery Performance and Cell Phone Testing Rules

The standby time of the mobile phone, the quality of calls and the time of continuous calls are determined by the performance of the mobile phone battery, and the discharge capacity of a mobile phone battery determines the main performance parameters of the mobile phone battery.

Most mobile phones have the rated capacity of the battery printed on the package, and according to the industry standard calculation, the actual capacity of the mobile phone battery must not be lower than 95% of the rated capacity.

Parameters of mobile phone battery test

According to the general specifications of lithium-ion batteries for mobile phones, the following parameter tests are performed on mobile phone batteries

1.20℃ discharge performance. There are two test modes for battery discharge performance: 0.2C5A and 1C5A. When passing the 0.2C5A mode discharge test, the time should not be less than 5 hours; when passing the 1C5A mode discharge test, the time should not be less than 51 minutes.

2. Overcharge protection. When the battery is tested for overcharge protection, the mobile phone battery should not catch fire, explode or leak.

3. Over discharge protection. During the over-discharge test, the mobile phone battery should not catch fire, explode or leak.

4. Short circuit protection. During the short-circuit protection test, the mobile phone battery should not catch fire, explode or leak.

5. The internal resistance of a mobile phone battery is also the basis for judging the quality of a battery. A good mobile phone battery should have an internal resistance of 50-200mΩ
